Eric Spitznagel is a writer who grew up on the Leelanau Peninsula, in Northport, Michigan. Then he moved to Chicago and started handing out Petoskey rocks to pretty girls. Or something like that. Anyway, he misses us and wrote a piece about why Michigan is the greatest state - ever - in the New York Times Magazine.

Hopefully, nobody famous reads the article and decides to move here. Especially any of those crazy rock stars. Because that'll make his mom mad. (P.S. - Mrs. Spitznagel - Tim Allen grew up here. That's why he does those commercials. Plus, do you rent your house out in the summer?)
