There is no MSU football game the weekend of the 15th. But, that doesn't mean that the Spartans won't be busy.

According to The Detroit News, "a group of Michigan State football players are planning to head to Houston next week to aid in helping out the area ravaged by Hurricane Harvey." A group of about 20 team members have signed up to head to Texas to help. And they're not the only ones.

The MSU football team members as well as Dean Transportation, the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross, Meijer, and multiple churches from the area are helping with the effort. They are joining "the 'Lansing Strong for Texas' flood relief campaign announced by Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero". Read more about the relief trip here
