I always wondered if this might be a problem.

The City of Portland, Michigan is constantly getting mistaken these days (especially in the online world of social media) for Portland, Oregon - or one of the other couple of dozen cities in the U.S. named Portland.

Right now, according to WOOD-TV, Portland, Michigan is having an issue with complaints coming in by phone or to their Facebook page, about a police-involved shooting that ACTUALLY happened in Portland, Oregon. Obviously, some people aren't paying very close attention when they "go off" online.

In fact, OUR Portland finally had to put out a Facebook post on Wednesday, which began with these words: "PSA: We’re not Portland, Oregon."
