Today marks a big day for the Capital Area Career Center!

Earlier today, the Capital Area Career Center held a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil their new name: Wilson Talent Center. The new name honors "former Ingham ISD Board of Education member, Rudy Wilson."

When the Capital Area Career Center first opened its doors in the early 70's, most of the students that took part in what the center had to offer "were looking for training in a specific career field as they planned to enter the workforce right out of high school." Now, most of the students who attend plan on continuing their education after high school. Jeanne Farina, the Wilson Talent Center principal and CTE Director said she believes the new name is a better reflection of what the center does now.
