Today's "Stump the Chumps" question came from Shawn, who asked, "how much does a standard half-barrel beer keg weigh?" Even with Stephanie cheating, on her phone, we were (truly) stumped. We guessed 82 pounds.

We were wrong. Shawn explained that a standard beer keg (regardless of kind of beer) weighs in at approximately 165 pounds.

He was pretty much dead-on. Here are the results of our investigation. Here's a link to pages about keg size from  micromatic.com and to kegerator.com.

Speaking of beer - have you heard about "Lansing On Tap"? It's coming to Adado Riverfront Park on November 1st. Here's the link for more info.
