State Christmas Tree Lighting Will FINALLY Take Place Tonight In Lansing
So, Mother Nature wasn't in a very festive mood last Friday as heavy rain and strong thunderstorms caused the Silver Bells parade to end prematurely and postponed the annual Christmas tree lighting in downtown Lansing.
However, here's an update--the tree lighting is now scheduled to take place tonight, Tuesday, November 22nd at 7pm. According to WILX, tonight's ceremony at the State Capitol building will include caroling and a countdown before the switch is finally flipped on the tree.
