This weekend, the Jackson County Fairgrounds (200 W. Ganson St., in Jackson) is hosting the Southern Michigan Winter Beer Festival. According to MLive.com, the festival happens Saturday from noon to 5PM, cost is $30 in advance and $35 at the door and nobody under 21 is allowed into the event, so, get a babysitter. Food vendors will be on site.

And (this is a good move), you'll be able to leave your vehicle parked at the fairgrounds, overnight.

At the event you'll be able to sample 200 craft beers and ciders. According to Fair manager Denise Owens, "I don't allow Budweiser or Miller or anything like that to come in here," Owens said. "This isn't an event where you come in and you're going to pound a 12-pack".

So, remember - this is a beer festival - not deer camp (My words, not hers)
