According to WILX-TV, Consumers Energy will be temporarily cutting power tonight to about 3,000 residents in the mid-Michigan area. The power outage is scheduled to last for about two hours so Consumers Energy can work on equipment in the Looking Glass Substation. The temporary power outage is schedule to start around 2am.

The outage will affect some people in the following counties: Eaton, Clinton and Ionia. The outage will affect some people in Grand Ledge and will also affect people living in Danby, Eagle, Oneida, Watertown, and Westphalia townships. You may want to pass this information along to your family and friends so that they'll know what's going on and won't rely on their alarm clock to wake them up in the morning.
