Some Changes Are Coming To The Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk

For those who make it a point to walk the Mackinac Bridge every Labor Day, be aware of some changes being made for this year.

According to a release from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the annual Labor Day walk has lots of changes coming to is this year. Here's what walkers should be aware of:

The bridge will be closed to public traffic during the walk, from 6:30 am to 12 pm.
You can start from either side of the bridge.
No waiting for a bus to take you to the starting point, as you can start from either side.
Anyone who walks the entire length of the bridge needs to arrange their own transportation to get back to the other side.
