If you're heading to downtown Lansing this Friday, November 16th, for Silver Bells In The City, here's a list of some of the main attractions.

  • The 22nd Annual Electric Parade starts at 6pm. The parade will start at the corner of Lenawee and South Washington Square
  • The Lighting Of The Official State Christmas Tree will take place after the parade. The approximate time of the tree lighting is 7:45pm and it will take place in front of the State Capitol

If you haven't already heard, there will be NO fireworks after this year's parade. Officials with the event announced back in October that "due to the Geothermal field installation project that is currently taking place on the west side of the Capitol and for the safety of attendees, there will not be a fireworks display as part of this year’s Silver Bells in the City festivities."

Here is their announcement about the fireworks:

If you can't make it to downtown Lansing this Friday, you can watch the parade on TV. The Silver Bells in the City Electric Light Parade will be broadcast LIVE on FOX 47 and on local Comcast Channel 12 from 6-8 p.m.
