Last August, the Grand Ledge community (and the Mid-Michigan baseball community) lost one of their own. In the early morning hours of August 9, 2016, one day after his 18th birthday, Jonathan Tuthill lost his life in a tragic car accident while on his way to work. 'Jonny' (as many called him) was a great kid who loved baseball and had a wonderful sense of humor. On a personal note, my family had the privilege of watching Jonny play travel baseball last summer. He always had a smile on his face and was an awesome kid who truly loved the game of baseball AND the Chicago Cubs.

On Monday, July 17th at the Grand Ledge High School auditorium, family and friends of Jonny will be hosting their first annual event in Jonny's memory. Doors open at 6pm and everyone is invited to attend. Jake Boss Jr. and Jason Colthorp will be participating in the evening's activities. You can read more about the event by clicking here.
