By now, you've probably heard the news of Robin Williams' passing. I gotta say, just like a lot of people - I'm heartbroken. I think he was a true comic genius, and a tremendously gifted actor.

I've seen a lot of news stories today featuring clips from his movies, but I think he was at his best when he was totally shooting from the hip. I know he ad-libbed a LOT of what he did on TV and in movies, but he was even better in front of live audiences.

In 2005, Robin was presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globe Awards by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. During the acceptance speech, he showed his full range by being funny, but also heartfelt and emotional.
