If you frequent the downtown branch of the Capital Area District Library (CADL), you'll have to use a different branch for a while.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the downtown branch will be closed for about three months as it gets a $670,000 renovation. Renovations include lots of change across the board; new carpet and tables, re-done restrooms, study rooms, and even a new floor plan!

The library will close on December 31st and construction will start on January 3rd. Maureen Hirten, executive director of CADL, is very excited about the changes! However, she also understands that "this is going to be an inconvenience for a lot of people no matter what." So plan is to have the library branch reopen in mid March.
