A major packaging error has led to a nationwide recall for some birth control pills. According to a press release from Allergan, the manufacturer of Taytulla, a nationwide recall was issued of one lot of the pills after being notified of a packaging error by a physician. The packaging error is a big deal because with the affected packs, the first four pills in the pack—rather than the last four—were inactive, which could potentially put women at risk of getting pregnant. The recall includes over 170,000 packs and is specifically for the Taytulla sample pack from lot 5620706 with the expiration of May 2019.
