So...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Or at least it will be this week...

According to reports from Mlive.com, there are some areas in the northwest part of Lower Michigan that could get over a foot of snow this week. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 9pm Tuesday for Barry, Calhoun, Eaton and Ionia county. Also, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 9pm Tuesday for Clinton, Gratiot, Ingham and Jackson county.

The Lansing area could see around 2-4 inches and the Jackson area could see 3-5 inches. However, the snow isn't really what has officials concerned the most--it's the wind that has them worried. Wind gusts between 20 and 30 MPH could lead to whiteout conditions and dangerous wind chills.
