2003 - American gubernatorial recall election is held in California. Governor Gray Davis is recalled and Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes governor.

2006 - Comedian-actor Tim Allen (53) weds actress Jane Hajduk (39) at an outdoor ceremony in Grand Lake, Colorado.  Raised in the Detroit suburb of Birmingham, Allen attended Central Michigan University and Western Michigan University.  He later went on to star in the TV series "Home Improvement" and many, many movies.
