There's another recall to tell you about and it might sound slightly familiar. Back in early October there was a recall of over 5 million pounds of ground beef that was linked to salmonella. Well, that recall has now been expanded and now includes over 12 million pounds of ground beef. According to a release from the United States Department of Agriculture, JBS Tolleson, Incorporated is recalling approximately 12,093,271 pounds of "non-intact raw beef products" that may be contaminated with Salmonella Newport.

The ground beef that is being recalled was packaged on various dates from July 26, 2018 to September 7, 2018. The products being recalled have the establishment number “EST. 267” inside the USDA mark of inspection. According to the USDA, the products were shipped to retail locations and institutions nationwide.

If you have any questions about the ground beef recall, you can contact the JBS USA Consumer Hotline at (800) 727-2333. Click here for more details from the USDA.
