Stephen Ross, who owns the Miami Dolphins and RSE Ventures - the people who brought FanVision  to NASCAR fans - just invested $1 million in the Drone Racing League. Nick Horbaczewski, the CEO of the league, says the sport will start out on TV and then move to venues where spectators can watch. According to ESPN, the league had a test run in July and they're now looking for the "best pilots in the world".

I'd be interested if they were full size drones, like the Predator drones used by the U.S. military, but I get the idea from the article that they're thinking much smaller. Full size drones racing might be just like the Reno Air Races, without pilots or World War II era planes (I went to those once - it was unbelievable)
