NASA has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1PM our time, to announce a major discovery relating to exoplanets - planets that orbit stars other than our own sun. According to the Daily Mail, scientists working on NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope project will be on hand.

Little green men? Probably not this time.

The Spitzer Space Telescope has the ability to determine atmospheric properties of exoplanets, which leads some to believe they have information about a distant planet with an atmosphere and climate similar to our Earth.

Of course, then there's the issue of getting there to check it out.
