Ohio State University faced a terrible attack on Monday; a suspect attacked and injured 11 students, faculty, and staff members. After that attack, Michigan State University decided to take a look at it's own campus-wide alert system.

The campus-wide alert system is used during emergencies by Michigan State police to warn students and give instructions on what to do during different emergencies. After the attack to Ohio State on Monday, police sent a notice out on Tuesday, reminding people what to do when there's an active shooter on campus.

Michigan State police are also looking for ways to improve the alert system. One of the new features they implemented is a "One-Button" alert system. You can read about that, and more details HERE
