We first told you about this story last week. If you missed it, let me fill you in on the birthday surprise. Samantha Webster is a mom from Homer, Michigan who would like your help in surprising her 10 year old daughter, Sonya, who suffers from cerebral palsy, with a bunch of birthday cards for her birthday on August 23rd. (That's the short version, you can read the original story by clicking here.)

So far, lots of birthday cards have been coming in for Sonya's birthday surprise. (See photo.) However, now there's an even bigger birthday surprise for Sonya on the 23rd! Members of the Local Eagles 612, along with over 100 motorcyclists from around the state, will be participating in "Sonya's Ride" and will be delivering all of the birthday cards to surprise Sonya on her big day! (Sonya is a huge fan of motorcycles!) If you'd like to participate in the ride, here are some things you'll need to know:

  • Riders should meet at the Albion Eagles Club at 2498 E. Michigan Ave in Albion on Sunday, August 23rt
  • Meet at 2pm, kickstands up at 2:30.
  • Riders will be traveling to a public park on Webster Street in Homer, arriving between 3pm-4pm.
  • There is NO cost, just please bring a birthday card for Sonya.
  • For more information on the ride, please call Jeff at (517) 630-1549 or email teamolney@gmail.com.

If you'd like to mail Sonya a birthday card, here's her mailing address:
