Everyone loves a happy ending and a good cat story. This story has both.

According to Fox News, a cat that vanished in South Carolina almost two years ago is now going back home after ending up nearly 2,000 miles away in Southern California. The story starts back in 2013 when the cat disappeared from its home in Anderson, South Carolina. That's when the owner thought the cat was most likely gone for good. However, the story picks back up in March of this year in Riverside, California, when the cat re-appeared inside a U-Haul trailer that a woman had driven across the country.

The cat was found during a routine inspection when the inspector heard some meowing. The woman who unknowingly drove the cat across the country said that the cat appeared to have been taken care of, however, it was dehydrated. (Who wouldn't be? That's a long drive!) Apparently, the cat's microchip helped track down its owner, Cheryl Walls but how the cat go into the trailer is still a mystery.

See. Happy Ending. You're welcome!
