Michigan’s Own Erik Jones Will Race For Kyle Busch At Kansas
It's official! Erik Jones will be racing the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota at Kansas Speedway. Joe Gibbs Racing made the announcement this morning. This will mark the 18-year-old Byron, Michigan native’s first official NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start. At Kansas Speedway, Jones will be running a special paint scheme highlighting M&M’S support of Red Nose Day on the #18 M&M’s Toyota. Red Nose Day is a a major charitable event that will be held on May 21st.
According to Fox Sports, it's already been a great year so far for Erik Jones. With 3 races complete in the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), he sits 3rd in the point standings, 6 point out of the lead with two top-five & three top-10 finishes. Plus, he already has earned four wins in his 20-career starts in the series. '
