Michigan’s Jim Harrison Bid Farewell by Florida’s Jimmy Buffett
ICYMI ("In Case You Missed It"- I didn't know what that meant either, for a long time) Jim Harrison passed away on Saturday, leaving his friend Thomas McGuane as heir to the "cool old guy from Michigan" throne. One of his other close friends, Jimmy Buffett, said goodbye yesterday on Facebook.
And from what I'm seeing in this post, apparently, they had some fun driving across America in Jim's, British built, Ford Cortina.
So, let me get this straight. Jim Harrison driving and telling stories - and Jimmy Buffett singing? Possibly the coolest road trips. Ever. When it comes time to check out, this would be a good way to be remembered.
