This week, April 10-16, is Michigan's Severe Weather Awareness Week. Because of that, this Wednesday, April 13th, at 1:30PM, the state of Michigan will conduct a statewide tornado drill.

According to the Michigan State Police website, "Nearly all state of Michigan facilities will be participating." While not mandatory, many communities will be testing their tornado sirens. Radio and TV stations across the state will also conduct a test of the EAS (Emergency Alert System) at that time.

Here's the best part - in the case of sever weather - the test will be postponed until Thursday the 14th. If there happens to be bad weather that day, the test will be canceled. But, the weather should be nice on Wednesday, so I don't think that will happen.

Spread the word. Let's keep the freaking out to a minimum. Thanks.
