According to ESPN.com, Jim Harbaugh just offered a scholarship to a 7th grade quarterback from MacArthur Academy in Southfield. Coach Harbaugh offered 13-year-old Isaiah Marshall the scholarship after visiting Southfield High School on a recruiting trip and saw video of Isaiah.

Isaiah may be young, but he has been working out with the high school team. His dad, Brian, coaches the running backs at Southfield and his brother, Aaron, is the offensive coordinator.

This shouldn't come as a surprise. Isaiah comes from a family of elite athletes.

Check this out: Isaiah's dad played at Northwestern and his uncle played at Youngstown State. Lawrence Marshall, Brian and Aaron's cousin, played at Michigan. Isaiah's mom was a Division I basketball player at DePaul, and her father played football at Illinois. His dad's cousin, Robert Thomas, played for the Dallas Cowboys for five years.

So, maybe Harbaugh's not totally nuts. (He probably is, but this might work out for him)
