Sometimes the internet can be a good thing...and this is one of those sometimes. According to an article in the Ann Arbor News, back in 1979, Deborah Durden lost her class ring. And when she lost that ring she thought it was gone forever. Well, luckily, Deborah was wrong.

Enter Eddie Johnson. Johnson, it turns out, is a pretty good amateur detective. Back in 1979, Johnson found the ring while working at a movie theatre. He held on to the ring for many years waiting for someone to claim it. After years of waiting, he decided to see if he could find the ring's owner.

From the markings on the class ring, he knew the ring's owner had attended Churchill High School in Livonia. So, Johnson decided to check the website Classmates.com and found four people from that class with initials that are on the ring. He also discovered a post from Durden on the website noting she had lost the ring.

Johnson was then able to find Deborah's contact information and earlier this week the two met up and well...Deborah got her ring back! To read more about the story, click here.
