Michigan State Sparty Statue

The battle rages on. U of M pays to have a skywriter say "Go Blue" above Spartan Stadium, MSU answers by winning the 100th Rose Bowl. Michigan State wins the Big Ten basketball tournament, U of M answers by throwing paint on the Sparty statue. Where will it end?

MSU students woke up Monday morning to "Go Blue" painted on the bricks at the base of the Sparty statue. The last time this happened was almost exactly a year ago, when the perps painted a yellow "M" on Sparty and painted his helmet blue. As MSU athletic director Mark Hollis tweeted then, when the grounds crew cleaned it up, "During the cleaning, the blue & yellow paint mixed together and turned green." Nice!
