Michigan State Spartans Are Getting Their Own TV Show

Starting Thursday, August 18th, on the Big Ten Network will be "Green and White Days: Inside Michigan State Training Camp", a new show that will take you behind the scenes of summer practice.

According to MLive.com, last fall, HBO came to Coach Dantonio and wanted to do a show about the Spartans with the same premise as the "Hard Knocks" show they've done about NFL teams. Dantonio said no to HBO. But after seeing last year's Big Ten Network "Scarlet and Gray Days" show about THE Ohio State University preseason, Dantonio agreed to let them do the same sort of show about the Spartans.

I'm sure that decision had nothing to do with the fact that Michigan State is now partners with Fox Sports (co-owners, with the Big Ten, of the Big Ten Network). Right?

I know. That was a little cynical, but....
