You think your computer at work is out-dated and slow? It is a fact that the Grand Rapids Public Schools have their heating and air conditioning controlled by a 1980s vintage Commodore Amiga computer. According to WOOD-TV, in the late 80s, a high school STUDENT programmed the computer to turn on and off the heat and air conditioning for all 19 school buildings in the district. When the district has a problem with the computer, they have to call the former student to come out and fix it.

Are you kidding me?

Apparently, they could replace it, but it would cost almost $2 million. Money that they hope to have if a bond proposal for $175 millio passes in November.

Until then, if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? Here's the story.
