How many times have I given you a heads up about a meteor shower (see what I did there?) - just to have cloudy skies that night and your crushing disappointment?

Too many times, I fear. Well, tonight (and tomorrow night) - that all changes.

According to AccuWeather.com, the Perseid meteor shower, entertaining stargazers since 36 AD, will be peaking tonight and tomorrow night. Accu Weather meteorologist Jordan Root says, "The best viewing conditions will certainly be across the Plains, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and into the Tennessee Valley as a large area of high pressure will keep clouds away."

The best time for viewing will be after midnight. See ya in the cornfield.
