"Cat cafes" have been popular around the world, primarily in the Far East, for a while now. Almost two years ago, I asked the question, "Who will be the first to step up and introduce a “cat cafe” to the Lansing area?" Well, it's not in Lansing - but according to MLive.com, Michigan's first cat cafe just opened in Ferndale. The Catfe Lounge on Livernois Avenue in Ferndale will let you hang out with one of their cats and, if you get really close to one, you can adopt it for a small fee.
Here's the story about the Catfe Lounge.

And here's a video from Kyoto, Japan showing you what a cat cafe is all about. And is it just me, or are these people in the video a little "heavy handed" with the petting?
