On Sunday, The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced the football playoff pairings for the 2018 season. There are quite a few schools throughout Mid-Michigan that made it to playoff action this year. In the Division 2 playoffs, Okemos will take on Jackson. Division 3 pairings include St. Johns playing the undefeated Panthers from Dewitt and Haslett will play East Lansing.

In Division 4 play, Williamston will host Goodrich. Division 5 pairings include Ovid-Elsie taking on Portland and Olivet hosting Lansing Catholic. Michigan Center will play Grass Lake in Division 6 playoff action. In Division 7 play, Pewamo-Westphalia will host Saranac and Union City will take on my hometown Centreville Bulldogs. The district finals will take place on November 2nd and 3rd and regional finals will be held on November 9th and 10th. The finals will be held at Ford Field on November 23rd and 24th.

Eight-player pairings were also announced yesterday by the MHSAA. Some local teams playing in those pairings include Webberville, Morrice and Bellevue. The eight-player state final will be played on November 17th at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
