Three more areas of state owned land in Michigan have been set aside as dark sky preserves - areas where there will be little to no light pollution.

According to the Free Press, the new areas are Rockport State Recreation Area, Negwegon State Park, and Thompson’s Harbor State Park. That brings the total of dark sky preserves to six in Michigan, including Wilderness State Park, where new campgrounds will be opening this summer.
