If you have any travel plans this weekend that include traveling on I-96 between M-52 and M-59, be prepared for some lane closures. The Michigan Department of Transportation will be implementing lane closures starting Friday morning around 9am and continuing until around 5am on Monday, June 11th.

According to a press release from MDOT, the right lane of eastbound I-96 will be closed from M-52 to M-59. The Fowlerville Road entrance ramp to eastbound I-96 will also be closed. This is the third of four planned weekend projects to resurface 11 miles of I-96 between M-59 and M-52 in Ingham and Livingston counties Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
