Get ready to behold the "worst-smelling flower in the world."

According to MLive, Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids is expecting their corpse flower to bloom soon. How soon? Well, we could see the 18-year-old flower bloom as soon as today, or we may have to wait until about July 14th; that's "just a best guess based on other research done by people who have had these and kept track of all of their timing and growth rates and so on."

When the corpse flower, named Putricia by staff members, finally blooms, it will emit a rotting flesh smell. Hence the name, corpse flower. And once it blooms, it will only stay that way for a few days, so if you want to see it and catch a whiff, make sure you get your tickets.
