Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel Getting Makeover

With it's 130th anniversary coming up this summer, the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is getting a makeover. According to the Detroit News, this winter, the east half of the world's longest front porch is getting some attention - after the western portion got refurbished last winter. Also, new rooms are being added, to bring the number of rooms up to 393. The rooms will be located on the 4th floor and will also bring the appearance of the hotel back to the way it looked in 1915.
