Lottery Winner Hits For $7 Million On Ticket Given As A Gift
I've always wondered what would happen if the person I gave some lottery tickets to as a gift would actually win a large jackpot. Well, that happened to a man in Pennsylvania.
The story goes like this... 47 year old, Joseph Amorese, had just undergone surgery and his father gave him a get well card with a lottery ticket tucked inside of the card. Joseph scratched the "7 million Golden Ticket" and it was a $7 million winner! Lottery officials presented Amorese with a ceremonial check earlier this week. The ticket was purchased at a dollar store in New City, New York. According to Newsday, Amorese says that he and his wife plan to keep their jobs. Unfortunately, there's no mention about whether he's going to give any money to his dad....You can watch the check presentation here.
