Sportscaster Dick Vitale has some big connections in the world of college sports. And he was deeply touched by the passing of Lacey Holsworth, the little girl who became close friends with Adriean Payne from the Spartan basketball team, and passed away, after a three year fight with cancer, on April 8th. According to the Lansing State Journal, Vitale told Lacey's dad on her passing, that he would raise $250,000 for a fund in her name, to be used for pediatric cancer research.

He's almost there. He expects to have it done by this Friday night, when he hosts his fundraising gala in Sarasota, Florida.

And THAT is a class move, and a great way to honor the passing of Lacey. Nicely done.
