The Little League World Championship game will be played this Sunday at 3PM in Williamsport, PA. Saturday, the teams from Nevada and Illinois will play to see who will play for the U.S. in that game, against the winner of the Japan vs South Korea game.

Friday morning, we shared an article from a sports writer/blogger in Houston named Garret Heinrich. His article is titled "10 Reasons The Little League World Series Needs to Go Away".

By the way, Mr. Heinrich says on his Twitter profile that he IS a Dad. I had speculated this morning that he wasn't.

I agree with a few of his points. Like him, I don't think as many of the ESPN "Top 10 Plays" on Sports Center that come from the LLWS are as worthy as they would lead you to believe. And, I don't think Little League pitchers should be throwing curve balls and sliders - but I remember trying to figure those out myself when I was 12 (in Pony League Baseball).

After we shared this story this morning, we had some parents that were none too happy with Garret Heinrich. I know we have some parents of young ballplayers that may be reading these blogs. What do YOU think? I prefer to remember THIS moment from the 2014 LLWS.
