A "Golden Crater Award"? What's that?

Well, according to the Lansing State Journal, it's a distinction that is a rather odd "honor". Lansing bested, if you can call it that when you win this award, Hicksville, New York as the worst "parking crater" in the nation. All of this according to the non-profit news organization, Streets Blog.

Lansing won the "Golden Crater Award" through a process of gaining the most votes in Streets Blog's "Parking Madness", a 16 city tournament. While you might think that an award with the word "crater" in its name would be about potholes, it's actually not.

It actually has something to do with parking. Really.
