Lansing Area Post Offices Will NOT Be Staying Open Late For Tax Day
Today is 'Tax Day 2018' and for many years, the Lansing area post offices have stayed open late on filing day for taxpayers filing last-minute income tax returns. This year, however, that is not the case. According to WILX, the Lansing area post offices will NOT be extended their hours this year because so many people E-file their taxes.
The main post office in Lansing and other local branches will be open during their normal business hours today and those normal hours vary by location. You can click here and enter your zip code to see how late your post office is open today.
Taxpayers are required to either e-file or mail their state income tax returns by 11:59 pm tonight, Tuesday, April 17th. Good luck!
