According to the Lansing Board of Water & Light, the phone scammers are back this week. The Lansing BWL says that they have received numerous calls this week from people who have gotten a phone call threatening the customer with loss of service if they don't make a payment over the phone. BWL officials say that the phone scammer's number appears as 517-702-6006 on your caller ID but the scammers are asking BWL customers to call an 800 number to make their payment. (800-298-5250)

Just a friendly reminder that the BWL customers are never asked for credit card information over the phone. Click here to find out more from the Lansing Board of Water and Light Facebook page.
