May 9th (Saturday) will be the date for the 2015 Letter Carriers Food Drive. It's an easy way to clean out your kitchen AND (more importantly) to feed somebody who's hungry. All you have to do is leave a box of non-perishable food next to your mailbox (you might want to put it in a plastic bag this year since we're expecting rain). Your letter carrier will make sure it gets to the food bank.

Amazing fact: in the past 22 years, over a BILLION pounds of food has been donated this way.

So, to review the process:

1. Put non-perishable food out by your mailbox on Saturday, before your letter carrier shows up.

2. Get warm feeling about doing something nice for your fellow human beings.

3. Go back inside, continue napping on your couch.
