The bad news is that Geoffrey the Giraffe will soon be packing it in and calling it a day, but there's at least one silver lining to the Toys R Us going away black cloud.

According to the Lansing State Journal, Bed Bath & Beyond (the stores that have been my saving grace for wedding presents) is accepting the gift cards that you may have for Toys R Us. But this offer, as they say, won't last forever.

If you have a Toys R Us gift card that is worth 20 bucks or more, Bed Bath & Beyond will purchase it from you at a discounted rate until Thursday night at a minute before Midnight. You will then be issued a card valued at a portion of what your Toys R Us gift card was worth that can be used at Bed Bath & Beyond online or in their stores.
