Lacey Holsworth Memorial Service Set for April 17 at MSU’s Breslin Center

A memorial service for Lacey Holsworth will fittingly be held at the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University.

The service for the 8-year-old St. Johns girl who became a major part of the MSU basketball family this past season is set for April 17, the Associated Press reports. Holsworth died late Tuesday after a long fight with cancer.

"Princess Lacey," as she was known, grew close with the MSU basketball family over the past year, and especially Adreian Payne. She accompanied the Spartan big man onto the floor for MSU's senior night and also at the college basketball dunk contest last week in Dallas.

MSU basketball players and coaches wore wristbands emblazoned with the phrase "Pray for Lacey."
