After one hundred five years in business, a Jackson bakery closed it's doors for the last time at Noon on Friday.

The European Bakery, which was located at 622 Page Ave. in Jackson ended operation after they sold their very last loaf of bread. The reason for the bakery closing is because it's owners decided that they wanted to retire and spend more time with their families.

According to WLNS-TV, the closing of the bakery was announced around a month ago and since then Jackson community members have shown their appreciation to the business over the last few weeks, which culminated in celebrations on Friday as customers came out to patronize the European Bakery while bringing mementos and gifts.
