Time to start mentally preparing yourself for college football. The Michigan State Spartans started fall practice on Monday. They open their season on Saturday, September 2nd, at 12 noon against Bowling Green. And the starting QB will be Brian Lewerke, from Phoenix. He's the guy who broke his leg last year in the Michigan game.

But, let's not talk about that.

In fact, let's not say anything about last season.

Last week in Chicago, Coach Dantonio compared Brian to former Spartan QBs Kirk Cousins and Conner Cook. So, no pressure, huh?

What I DID like was Brian's quote in this story - "I think I'm good under pressure and I can handle any situation."

Here's the latest from MLive.com on the Spartans.
