Here's a look inside, from DetroitRedWings.com, of the jet used jointly by the Red Wings and Tigers. Sadly, the Tigers really won't be needing it for several months. It's called the "Red Bird III".

Most team planes are chartered or leased during the season from airlines. This plane is privately owned by the Ilitch family. This video is from 2011, right after the plane had been retrofitted to take it from a normal, Midwest Express airliner to a jet totally redone to serve the needs of the teams. In fact, if you watch carefully, in the cockpit, the call sign placard hadn't even been replaced yet with the new call sign (N682RW).

No word yet on how many pizzas Little Caesars has to sell for Mike to upgrade to a 757.
