Depending on who you talk to at NASA, "Ceres" is either a "dwarf" planet or an asteroid, located between Mars and Jupiter. Whatever it is, everybody just got excited because something, in one spot on Ceres, is reflecting sunlight more than the surrounding area.

The good news, (from space.com) is that we have a spacecraft about to enter an orbit around Ceres, sometime in March. Is it a lake? Ceres is 25% water - in some form. Is it sunlight hitting clouds of vapor just the right way? Apparently scientists have reported seeing giant, volcano-like ice geysers on Ceres.

Or, is it, as I suspect - a gleaming city, made entirely of tin - like my tin-foil hat?

We shall see, earthling. We shall see. Click here for the full story.
